AWAM is a nonprofit organization formed for the purpose of championing women's professional growth and enrichment in the aviation maintenance fields by providing opportunities for sharing information and networking, education, fostering a sense of community and increasing public awareness of women in the industry. Our membership includes maintenance technicians, engineers, pilots, air traffic controllers, business owners, educators, journalists, flight attendants, dispatchers, high school and university students, airport managers, those with an interest in aviation, and many others.
The Louisville AWAM Chapter meets monthly and provides excellent networking and socializing opportunities for our members. Our meetings include such activities as guest speaker presentations, facility tours, educational workshops and seminars, and often times just fun social outings. Meetings are always a great way to stay involved with Louisville’s local aviation community. Check out our Event Calendar to find out what's coming up next.
To provide, increase, and promote aviation maintenance opportunities through educational awareness and networking opportunities in the community; to encourage, develop, and educate future aviators in the aviation industry.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our mission and increase awareness in our youth and connect them to the aviation industry. Your generous donation will fund our scholarships.
We love our aviation students, mentees, members, enthusiasts, & volunteers so feel free to contact us anytime!
